About the Role
As Senior Product Manager for the Merchant Experience & Growth, you’ll be working very closely with our Growth and GTM manager to grow the merchant funnel via product-led growth initiatives, own the entire onboarding and support experience, and make it delightful for our merchants, sell and upsell Midtrans various services via self-serve channels, and perform quick experiments to test what will drive growth that can be cascaded across product teams. Your main responsibility is to improve and accelerate the full journey of our self-serve customers from consideration to long-term value and be accountable for the self-serve business line as well as contributing to the sales pipeline – directly driving Midtrans’s topline revenue targets.
What You Will Do
- Together with leadership; create, own, and execute a product roadmap, vision, and strategy to be aligned with the company’s goals. Think holistically across the end-to-end journey of a customer with Midtrans, and develop an opinionated strategy and roadmap for when and how we should engage customers across different automated and human-assisted channels (sales, support, self-serve emails, …) to address awareness gaps and friction points.
- Working together with Growth and GTM, grow our revenue and funnel via product-led growth initiatives by doing data-driven experiments
- Influence peers, stakeholders, and key executives through the use of data, logic, and user empathy
- Own key results for your problem area, customer satisfaction, usability, on-time releases, and other critical metrics
- Develop trusted relationships with engineering leaders, business leaders, and stakeholders to drive optimized product delivery
- Convey important messages clearly and compellingly to cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage prioritization, product definition, execution, roll, and impact analysis for each of the initiatives that are owned by your problem area
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of product management experience in delivering highly successful and innovative B2B products with stellar design taste and product instincts. Experience in payments and/or growth product teams is a big plus.
- Experience in working with leadership to develop product strategy and vision.
- Have a strong sense of agency in navigating and creating clarity over ambiguity
- Ability to break down complex problems, and identify use cases and solutions while working in an unstructured environment
- A nuanced understanding of data, design, research, software engineering, and business processes, and partnering effectively with those teams
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements and features
- Strong communication skills to weave strategy, insights, priorities, and plans forward into a structured and organized storyline at all levels of management
- Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to insist on high standards and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision
About the Team
The Payments team in GoTo Financial spans customer payments (GoPay e-money and wallet) and merchant payments (online payments via Midtrans). Midtrans is one of the largest payment gateways in Indonesia. Spots is the largest offline network for payments in Indonesia.
We have helped simplify payments for over 750,000 merchant partners, over 1,000,000 driver partners, and millions of customers - from the bike drivers down your street to your favorite Gorengan and Martabak stalls. But, the growth of Payments does not stop here. We are hungry for more. We intend to become the largest payment and financial services group in Southeast Asia.
The Merchant Operations team is a stream within Midtrans that aims to solve our merchants’ and partners’ pain points over managing operations that come with accepting payments and transfers - be it for their businesses or their clients - to help them streamline their operations and grow their business. Our success depends on the success of our merchant partners who rely on us for their payment needs. This team will focus on the merchant’s and partner’s operations and reporting needs, which will include creating, owning, and executing a product roadmap aligned with product strategy.
