About the Role
Join us as our Account Manager for GoPay in Bandung! You’ll lead a team of sales executives to grow our merchant network for GoPay in the area. Using your leadership and communication skills, you’ll listen to merchants' needs, resolve their issues, and turn their feedback into strategies that improve their operations.
Your role will focus on driving sales initiatives, making processes smoother, and ensuring your team meets all targets. In the first six months, you’ll play a key part in expanding our merchant base and improving their daily operations.
What you will do
- Achieve monthly acquisition targets and solve issues in the field or within the sales team.
- Grow the sales team according to management's projections.
- Recruit and train new team members.
- Monitor daily team activities to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the team by resolving customer objections and issues.
- Build strong relationships with both the team and customers.
- Track sales progress, and upselling results, and suggest improvements.
- Gather merchant feedback to enhance their experience.
What you will need
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience.
- Strong communication and selling skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving and process improvement abilities; comfortable using Excel.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation abilities.
- Energetic, able to work under pressure, and meet targets.
About the team
In the MSME sales team, we consistently strive to implement solutions that allow our merchant partners in Indonesia to sell their products both online and offline. We also work to improve the merchant-partner experience through product innovation and integration with the rest of the Gojek ecosystem.
Our portfolio of products includes merchant-facing solutions that aid our subscribed merchant partners in their sales operations. Indonesia is a highly dynamic market, where products have to react promptly to market trends and shifts, and where product managers and business leads need the flexibility to experiment and iterate fast. With that in mind, as the Sales team, we introduce and educate potential customers on how they can benefit by using our products.
One of the biggest obstacles our team has had to overcome is figuring out the most effective way to increase our standing in the market with our product solutions. After many weeks of research, collaboration, and trial and error, we figured out that the best way to tackle this issue was to pour a bulk of our effort into acquiring more merchant partners in various industries, leveraging heavily on the Gojek ecosystem as a whole.
We're a highly flexible team with a target-driven mindset. We manage our own work hours, so long as we deliver the expected results on time. As a team, we enjoy working at cafes, learning from and about one another, and having fun all along the way.
